The Enlivenment Network

We are an Australian based network of artists, creatives, storytellers and culture change advocates, exploring how to transition from a global capitalist culture based on extractivist logic to a global/local culture and economy based on relationist logic, through:

  • The wisdom of the ancients
  • The insights of science
  • The nourishment of connection
  • The liberating power of story.

As the organisational anchor of NENA‘s Arts & Culture Hub, our Community Weavers nurture deep connections—between people, land, and the unseen threads that bind us all. We foster regenerative relationships where reciprocity, care, and shared purpose become the foundation of how we live and thrive together. We work with individuals’ strengths and passions to build collaborative diverse networks of people who are committed to handing over life-affirming legacies to our coming generations, human and non-humans alike. In this we acknowledge Australia’s cultural foundations lie with our First Nations knowledge systems and their ethos of Caring for Country.

Through our creative collaborations as Community Weavers, we are developing a new story based on an ENLIVENMENT WORLDVIEW. This paradigm shift will allow us to meet the cultural challenge of the unravelling of modernity’s alluring dream of Progress and Prosperity into an ever shinier future through technocratic rationality and human exceptionalism over Earth, and all its creatures. A dream of increasing alienation and chaos.

We believe in the power of story in nurturing our spirits and giving meaning and purpose to our lives, as we face the headwinds of the next AI revolution that is expected to fundamentally transform individual integrity, society, economics and geo-political relationships.
