Human Intelligence (HI) in Relationship with AI

I’ll start with a clarion call for HI (Human Intelligence)
“Be yourself, no matter the AI state of play”!

As someone who puts in 2 hours of AI research per day, Mon-Fri, about the impact AI will have on creative singer-songwriters like me, I don’t just come from an artist’s point of view. My ex band mate, a GP reckons he is soon to be superseded. Uber drivers; bye, bye. Script writers, novelists, etc, etc.

The ‘Monets’ of this world will just have no usefulness in society. Just as a land line phone has little purpose anymore. It’s not personal, it’s practical.

What AI does in music: it takes from the AVERAGE of the greatest lyrics, best guitar parts, best drummers and the most loved vocals; plus the AVERAGE of the best ever studio producers of all time. Then according to your prompts: it gives you an instant, top level, world class product.

As I keep telling my friends- there will be no more average or beginner art/product. Just top level. So what do we HI creatives do?  I figure we just keep on.

The Financial and Convenience Incentives

Take the fact that you have it all, currently, for $100 a year. Versus my previous producer, located in Sydney, at a rate of $145 per hour.

I always look at all facets. I tell myself there are always positives (everything is happening FOR you, not TO you). I am learning from it! It’s sharpening my craft, lifting my game!

INTEGRATION is what is happening. Just as you won’t hardly go anywhere without your mobile. Soon all we HIs will need our companion AIs, just to make do.

What I’m wondering though is: will Human Intelligence (HI) be like vinyl record stores? Still around, but very niche.

Or will AI just be an option? Not the majority of the market. We don’t really want to watch AI chess matches. We still want to watch the two best HI chess players battle it out.

There is a lot in the air. A lot to be played out. Playing out fast it is though.

It’s us HI, that will decide the outcomes, in the decisions we make. Other HIs are at it right now at the Cabinet table, talking PRODUCTIVITY and AI futures.

Considering the majority always go toward ‘happiness’ (be that money/profit or new opportunities) and convenience; the future may be already decided.
