REGENESIS 2025 – A Creative Invitation to Imagine ‘Living Sustainably’

Resilient Blue Mountains in collaboration with The Enlightenment Network and Rosey Ravelston Books, is proud to announce the return of the REGENESIS Anthology – a creative initiative that celebrates the imaginative power of our community in response to the most pressing issue of our time: how to live sustainably.

Running from Lithgow to the Nepean River, REGENESIS 2025 is a call-out to residents of the Blue Mountains region to respond artistically to the theme ‘Living Sustainably.’ Whether you write, paint, photograph, sculpt or sketch – this is your chance to contribute to a vital local conversation and share your creative voice.

This year’s categories include:

• Short Story – original fictional writing of up to 1,000 words

• Poetry – original writing of up to 150 words

• Visual Art – original works in 2D, 3D or photography, submitted as PNG or JPG files

All entries will be judged, and a prize of $250 will be awarded to the winner in each category.

Additionally, we’re offering a Youth Emerging Artist Prize: a $250 award for the best entry in each category by a young creative aged 16 to 18. This is a wonderful opportunity for emerging artists and writers to be recognised for their talent and insight.

Save the Date – Presentation Night

Winners and finalists will be celebrated at a special Presentation Night on 5th September 2025 – a night of community, creativity and hope. Tickets will be available from 1st August.

REGENESIS is more than a competition – it’s an invitation to explore, reflect and reimagine our shared future. It’s about telling new stories and creating images that stir the heart and move us toward action.

We welcome all local creatives to be part of this growing movement. Whether your work is poetic, visual, or narrative – your voice matters.
